On Thursday, March 19, 2020, LA County issued a “Safer at Home” order effective until April 19, 2020. Shortly there after Governor Gavin Newsom issued a “Stay at Home” order which stays in place until further notice. The intent of these orders are to protect the health and well-being of all Californians and to establish a consistent approach across the state to slow the spread of COVID-19.

We are proud of the leadership that both LA County and Governor Newsom have shown in recognizing how essential the legal cannabis market is to our communities in these challenging times.

We especially want to thank United Cannabis Business Association for their collaborative efforts in making this possible.

Here is a copy of the letter sent to LA County: COVID-19 and Cannabis Businesses

These two orders recognize legal cannabis providers as an essential medicine for many residents. We have a duty to our communities, our associates, and each other to implement the Health Department recommendations and best practices to protect the public health for all who rely on us.

We have earned a great responsibility to protect our communities and provide this essential medicine. Time and time again we have proven to prevail in the most challenging of times and we have no doubt that we will once again excel with this responsibility.

Be wise, be kind, protect yourselves, and protect those around you. We look forward to a undoubtedly healthier future for us all.
